About Me

I am a freelance writer whose work has appeared in Inc., Fast Company, Money, Reader’s Digest, Real Simple, Saveur, and elsewhere. I have a broad range of interests and have been lucky to write about many of them, including business, technology, sustainability, food and food production, travel and culture, and kids. In addition to magazine writing, I have enjoyed working on copywriting projects for a variety of business clients. In my pre-freelance life, I worked in book publishing and as a copy editor and editor at major consumer magazines. I know my way around a kitchen and a garden, and increasingly a yoga mat. And how are my parties? Well, let’s just say I’ve written a book on the subject. I now live in Burlington, Vermont, recently voted the healthiest “city” (pop. 40,000) in America, where winters are cold, summers are unbelievable, and life is generally pretty excellent.
